A Taste of PR

Approach PR is offering a "taste of PR" to celebrate its 10th birthday.
The multi-award winning team is offering free PR advice throughout the day on Tuesday 29 November - plus a slice of luxurious celebratory birthday cake!

"It wouldn't be a proper birthday without cake so we're offering a taste of something sweet and a figurative taste of our expertise for anyone who's keen to glean any PR advice from us on this special day," says Managing Director Suzanne Johns who launched Approach in 2001 to gain more flexibility as a working mum after the birth of her first child.

"We feel we've got such a lot to offer our neighbouring businesses after 10 years in the industry and while many local firms have experienced our expertise, there's plenty more who we feel we can support through a birthday open day."

The company represents national and international brands such as Delifrance UK Ltd, German kitchen manufacturer Alno AG and local businesses such as Care Recruitment Services, Bradford Chamber and Heat Electric. The team also offers broadcast media coaching and PR workshops through its training arm Approachability.

Suzanne added: "Offering a taste of PR is truly in the spirit of what we stand for. Despite 10 years of successful campaiging for largely big name brands, it's our local community that really matters to us and we couldn't think of anything more appropriate than opening our doors to our neighbours on this very special occasion for our business."

Broadcast media training workshop

Live camera crew and former BBC director of programming put local business leaders through their paces

The Approachability broadcast media training was a real success with exceptionally positive feedback from all the delegates. Having the "live" broadcast interview team on site with all their necessary camera and sound equipment added a whole new dynamic to the training and meant the interviews were as authentic as possible. The media scenarios that were created and worked through on the day really hit the mark and left our delegates feeling confident and able to tackle a pre-recorded or live television or radio interview. Meet the experts at Approach PR’s broadcast hour

Nothing comes close to the feeling of having a TV camera pointing at you with the demand to make a crisis statement on an issue you’re not ready for.

Or having a broadcast news opportunity to state your case… only to be manipulated by the interviewer and not get your key messages across.

Approach PR’s broadcast media trainer Michelle Gee has over 10 years experience in finding the news and delivering it live on air to the Yorkshire region. She knows what makes good television, how the editors brief the journalists and what their agenda will always be.
