Project Description

Hydraulic actuator engineering firm Advanced Actuators needed to be positioned as innovators in a niche manufacturing area through both regional and trade media.

The firm required our support to be positioned as a local employer contributing to the national economic recovery and to use social media to improve international relations and secure contracts.

As well as providing LinkedIn training and guidelines, we used strategic media relations and were able to communicate the business success and expertise to the relevant press. The high profile media coverage resulted in a visit from then Chancellor, George Osborne.

Key results

  • Media relations campaign to a regional and trade audience reached over six million people
  • News highlights include a case study in The Times and broadcast exposure on ITV’s Calendar News for the George Osborne visit
  • For every £1 spent the brand was seen by 400 people

Testimonials

“We’re now working on a global campaign and have seen a marked upturn from overseas enquiries including potential customers who we’ve never had contact with before. The order book is such that we are now in process of recruiting three new members of staff. None of this would have happened without Approach. We should have done this years ago!”
