There’s nothing like some ‘new blood’ to inject fresh ideas and renewed vigour into a business and here at Approach we have followed up an incredibly busy six months with three new team members: senior account manager Lynne Kelly, junior account executive Georgia Shepheard and Leeds Beckett intern Laura Forbes.
With several new account wins and existing clients increasing their comms briefs, our newly-expanded multi-award winning team is thoroughly enjoying working on our burgeoning portfolio.
Not that we believe in personality quizzes or psychometric tests at Approach towers, but finding the right person for the job is essential for the well-being of staff and the productivity of the business – particularly in smaller offices.
We’re pretty confident we’ve find the perfect match in our three new team mates and being named Small Business of the Year at the Ilkley Business Awards recently showed us we have just the right chemistry for a successful and award-winning team.
Lynne, who began her career in Dublin, brings more than 10 years of consumer and business-to-business communications experience with a client list including Premier Foods, Morrisons, Bio Oil, Pure Gym, Bausch & Lomb, major retailers and restaurants. Lynne will be working closely with a number of Approach’s key clients including Kirkgate Shopping and Mobalpa.
Lancaster University English Literature graduate and Ilkley resident Georgia showcased her skills and commitment during a two-week work placement. She made such a positive impact on the business we just couldn’t let her go and she returned to a full time position. As the former editor of her university newspaper and author of her own blog ‘The Active Intern’, Georgia fine-tuned her copywriting and social media skills during work experience across the consumer press including Grazia and Essentials.
Laura is studying Public Relations and Communications and has been sharing her enthusiasm and utilising her skills across several key clients providing social media and copywriting support.
