We are celebrating again (!) here at Approach Towers this week. We’ve scored a hat-trick in the shortlist for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ PRide Awards!

With over 24 industry and business accolades and awards under our belt, the 2016 shortlist commends the effective campaigns we undertook on behalf of clients Smoke Barbecue, Airedale Chemical and the WI Centennial Fair run by Upper Street Events.

  • Regional Campaign of the Year – ‘#GetDirty with Smoke BBQ’

We used media relations and social media to announce the restaurant’s third opening in Glasgow and increase footfall in Leeds. Alongside, treating third year students at Leeds Beckett University to a night off exams cramming and holding three blogger events filled with great food, drink and social media competitions.

  • STEM campaign – ‘Finding the right formula for Airedale Chemical’

Our work with Airedale Chemical focused increasing its visibility in its horizontal and vertical trade media and regional press. The campaign also highlighted key products and raised awareness of its CSR activities to build positive relationships with the organisation’s neighbours.

  • Best Use of Media Relations – ‘Naked ambition puts WI celebrations on the Calendar’

Last year we joined in centennial celebrations with the Women’s Institute, working on a national consumer campaign for the WI Centennial Fair… featuring the Calendar Girls!! The fair, held in Harrogate, was a four-day event featuring 200 exhibitors, workshops and seminars celebrating all that embodies the WI.

We are all super-cuffed with the news and for our work to have been recognised in three categories the office was certainly buzzing with competitive spirit. It truly is an honor to be shortlisted and a testament to our hardworking and talented team!

These nominations demonstrate our dedication to delivering creative, results-driven campaigns and we very much look forward to celebrating another prosperous year for PR in our region alongside industry peers.

The annual CIPR PRide Yorkshire and Lincolnshire awards, will be held at The Queens, Leeds on 17 November so sit tight for the results!
